Prayer for peace and love in the world

 

Today I learned about the tragic killings of 12 people at Charlie\’s Hebdo a french magazine, well known for his satyrical cartoons, that has been in the spotlight lately for its controversial cartoons about Islam. The killers claimed to be muslims and to act in the name of Islam. Of course. Tragic.

Islam is a religion of love. All religions are, but humans bring madness into those beautiful spiritual teachings and transformed them in weapons of war and hate. My heart is filled with sadness today. All I can do now, he\’s pray.

May men and women around the world
Rise up together and pray for peace
Everywhere everyday

May God gives us the wisdom
To see past color and religion

May we remember that we are one
That our differences make us stronger

May we welcome our brothers and sisters
With an open heart and a loving spirit

May our hearts be filled with love, joy and peace.
May we look at each other and
See our beauty, our truth and our divinity.

May we all have compassion
For those who are suffering,
Sending them love, light and healing.
